+ Can multiple children in the same family share one account?

Each account is intended for only one user. As students use the program their progress is tracked. If multiple children in the same household use the same account it will be impossible to tell the work of each student apart.

+ Is the app available to everyone?

The app is currently available only to students enrolled in Sylvan Math Edge through Sylvan Learning. To learn more about Sylvan Learning, visit www.sylvanlearning.com.

+ Can the student work in several different skill areas at the same time?

Yes. Students can work across all of the available skill area. Progress in each will be maintained.

+ Can the students start in the middle of a skill area?

Yes. Students can work across all of the available skill area. Progress in each will be maintained.

+ Which skill area should students start with?

Questions About The Program

+ How do parents and students monitor progress?

The stars make it easy to track progress. The goal of each lesson is to earn 3 stars. The stars earned appear above each lesson on the map.

+ How do students change their avatar?

Click on the avatar image on the lower left-hand corner of the screen. The screen that comes up allows student to change the hair, eyes, mouth, and color of their avatar.

+ Do students need separate scrap paper to work out problems?

The screens of the practice and challenge problems act like digital scrap paper: students can use a stylus or their finger to write right on the screens in order to work out their answers. If they prefer, paper and pencil can of course be used as well.

+ How do students turn on (or turn off) the apps background music?

The background music and app sound can be turned off through the settings page. Access the settings page through the gear icon located on the lower right-hand corner of the app screen.

iPad app

+ How is the app downloaded onto the iPad?

The app is downloaded directly from the Apple App Store. Search “Sylvan Math Supercharger” in the App Store to find it.

+ What are the technical specifications to run the app an iPad?

iOS: 9.3.5 (or higher)
  •    Installable devices are supported from iPad 2.

+ Can the app be downloaded onto an iPhone?

The app is designed for use on the iPad, not the iPhone.

Android Tablet App

+ What are the technical specifications to run the app an Android device?

Android: 4.4 (or higher)
  •    Installable device resolutions are 1920 x 1200 (7-inch), 1280 x 800(10inch).

+ Can the app be downloaded onto an Android phone?

The app is designed for use on Android tablets, not Android phones.
